Remastering

Every now and then we revisit old work and add something new to it. In this instance, I started to remaster material originally designed in 2017. Intersections was a series of vector based black and white line art. It features repeating line patterns with slight variations, that when overlapped, causes a larger pattern to emerge.

At this point, moving from line art to 3d, we get improved arcs and better scaling for close ups, and generally improved flexibility. We can go nuts with upping the render quality and even add colour with little additional effort. The fun part is moving the camera around the object to find interesting frames to render.

The current design is an object and an exploration of it via the timeline, by way of a curated camera movement. You can take a snapshot anywhere along the timeline. Easy.

I started printing some of these for me to enjoy.
